London Trolleybus Vol 1 1931-1945

Back in 1975 Ken Blacker’s Trolley bus launched the Capital Transport imprint and established itself as the first of that publisher’s standard reference works. Time has moved on and quarter of a century later Ken has revisited the subject bringing much more information to light. So much so that the new work will be in two volumes. The first covers the development of the London trolleybus network and vehicles upto the end of the war. The second volume will chart the decline of the system, the fate of the vehicles and ancillary topics such as maintenance, the overhead, service vehicles and tickets. The only word to describe this book is marvellous. It contains just about any information that the modeller could ever need. Diagrams, interior views, rear views, close ups, street scenes, depot scenes, livery details - you name it, it is in there. If you are interested in London trolleybuses buy it now. You don’t want to wait another quarter of a century for the next edition!
