From its headquarters on Aberdeen's Guild Street, Northern Scottish operated over Moray, Angus, Aberdeenshire and the city of Aberdeen itself and provided services in towns such as Braemar, Elgin, Fraserburgh and Stonehaven. Founded in 1985 as a successor of Walter Alexander & Sons' operations in the north-east of Scotland, which themselves dated back to the 1930s, the company has since been absorbed into Stagecoach. Prior to privatisation, however, the company always retained its distinctive yellow and white livery and latterly resurrected the bluebird logo once used by Walter Alexander & Sons. Peter Findlay gives us a picture of the buses used across this large and remote swathe of rural Scotland such as the AEC Reliance, Leyland Olympian and Leyland Leopard. 96 pages softback, with around 180 photos.
