The Leyland Atlantean bus marked a radical change in bus design when it appeared in 1958. Glasgow Corporation Transport put one of the very first into service that year. The 'Corpy' and its successors GGPTE, Strathclyde PTE and Strathclyde's Buses would become one of the world's biggest users of the type where they would be used in service for the next forty years. This A5, 152 page book celebrates 60 years since the first Atlantean went into service in Glasgow and their use thereafter. It draws on the extensive photo archives of enthusiasts with almost all the 200 pictures in the book having never previously been published before. As well as the vehicles themselves, the pictures show the changing street scenes in the city from the late 1950's through to the early 2000's.
