Douglas Head Ferry & the Port Soderick Boats

Details

In Victorian and Edwardian times the Isle of Man was a mecca for holidaymakers and Douglas in particular. Much tourist development centred on Douglas Head and the easiest access was by ferry across the harbour. Port Soderick, a cove three miles south of Douglas, was also developed as a tourist attraction and this publication traces the history of these tourist enterprises and the boats that served them.
