WDLR Companion

This book accompanies the earlier published RCL title, 'WDLR Album', published in 2014. In this new book, information is drawn together from reports from the Kew Records Office, one from 1916 proposing improvements to the movement of munitions and supplies to the Front. Col. David W Ronald has used his military knowledge to full advantage and gives a lucid explanation of just how the WD Light Railway system came into being, its organisation, its operation, and how it came to be largely ignored after the end of the conflict. In addition, there is a portfolio of scale drawings by noted draughtsman Peter Foley, plus extracts from the report itself and much more original material which has not been seen before.
