RVPT Morecambe Display and Running Day

The RVPT Morecambe display and running day will take place on Sunday, May 19th. Once again this will be based at the Mazuma Stadium, Morecambe FC’s football ground which provides refreshments, toilets, meeting rooms and a display area for stalls. RVPT bus services will travel along the promenade at Morecambe. Free bus services will operate on a frequent basis from the football ground to Happy Mount Park, Bare, Heysham Village and Carnforth. The first buses will depart Heysham and Carnforth at 09.40. Final services operate from 17.00 to 17.30. There will be a variety of buses from the RVPT collection on display and in service; ages ranging from 1931 to 2004, subject to availability on the day. Over 40 guest buses will attend, some of them being used in service. If you plan to visit the event by car please note that there is no parking at or near the football ground so a better option is to park elsewhere and travel to the ground on the RVPT service. There is free parking along the promenade and you can pick up buses at Happy Mount Park if you travel to the east end of the prom. There is a large car park close to HMP. There is also a pay car park at Heysham Village very close to the bus stop. Stagecoach buses operate along the promenade and Morecambe bus station is a short walk from the bus stops near the Winter Gardens.
