Branch Lines to Bartlow

The rural lines of northwest Essex were peaceful backwaters of the BR network, but carried much agricultural traffic of a seasonal nature. Most passenger trains were short, with ageing engines. The great variety is extensively illustrated, along with maps and tickets from the past.
