British Railway Memories 81: Tyneside Electrics 2

This is the second volume by David Dunn on Tyneside Electrics. In this album Dunn features the South Tyneside line to South Shields, looking at South Gosforth car sheds, viewing some associated miscellany, storage of the withdrawn unites, the last day workings, and finally the scrapping carried out in North Blyth. In this volume there is quite a mixture of content but one which will complement the images presented in the first volume. Both volumes contain enough illustrations to convey an idea of what the Tyneside electric system looked like in the BR period when we actually used it for our daily purposes. They have also included some 'ancient' images from 'the olden days' when most of us were not even born.
