Exploring with the Breezers

The 'Breezer' name has been familiar with green and blue open-top and indeed closed-top buses running between Bournemouth and Swanage over the last few years. In 2023 the operator Go South Coast (GSC) introduced the 'Breezer' brand to other coastal routes for the summer season. You might be familiar with our DVD title 'Driving the Breezer' released in 2020 featuring the entire route of the 50 service that travels over the Sandbanks chain ferry. In April 2023 Go South Coast launched the new-look Breezer group of routes at an event in Poole Park on a warm springtime day hoping the weather would stay warm and dry for the season. The Independent Transport Videos cameras were on hand to record the event. Probably the star of the show was former Yellow Buses, now GSC, 1813 (YBZ 224), a 2002 Volvo B7TL with an East Lancs Vyking body, now permanent open-top in the yellow 'Beach Breezer' livery.
