NorthWestVRT 2023 Nocturnal Running Day

The Independent Transport Videos cameras have returned to record two events for your enjoyment. The first event is the 2022 Nocturnal Running Day, the second being the 2023 Open Day organised by the North West Vehicle Restoration Trust. As usual these events are centred on the Trust's premises. The Nocturnal Running Day took place 2-7pm on Saturday 12th November 2022. Our cameras were on hand to film the action and to ride on some of the excellently restored buses. The buses operated were previously owned by Liverpool and Birkenhead Corporations, MPTE, MTL, Crosville and Ribble, to name but a few, with vehicles mostly manufactured by Leyland. Just one service was operated during the event, the 90 from Charley Wood Road, Kirkby to Prescot Station. The second event was the 2023 NWVRT Open Day filmed on Sunday 4th June 2023. Buses attending are from the Merseyside area and the northwest of England. Not just preserved buses but current service buses from the local operators of Arriva and Stagecoach.
