The Lakes by Bus

'The Lakes by bus' is the title given to an excellent booklet produced by Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire for their bus routes serving England's Lake District for the 2023 summer season. In August 2023 the Independent Transport Videos cameras made a visit to the area to record the buses in this beautiful part of the country for you to enjoy. The Stagecoach buses allocated to the 'Lakes', mostly at their Kendal depot, are in a special green and blue livery featuring stylised decals of the surrounding countryside with 'The Lakes Connection' as a fleetname. Our filming begins and ends in Kendal having taken in the sights Bowness-on-Windermere, Windermere, Grassmere, Ambleside, Keswick, Penrith, Buttermere and Workington. There is no doubting that the English Lake District is an area of outstanding natural beauty and the best way to see it is by bus.
