Buses of Greater Manchester in the 1970s

This publication by the Greater Manchester Transport Society was prepared especially for their 1970s weekend at Boyle Street. This book shows the 1970s as a decade of change and turmoil with chapters on the setting up of SELNEC, the expansion and Local Government reform that gave SELNEC their new name. It also covers the 'one that got away' featuring the independent who survived against all odds. This book has more than 50 colour photos and eight black and white pictures which help to illustrate the history of buses in the Greater Manchester area during the 1970s.
