Wheels Around the Highlands and Hebrides in Colour Photographs by John Sinclair

For legal reasons we couldn't put the word 'bus' in the title of this book and so have after a gap of many years added another title in the 'Wheels Around' series of transport books. From 1957 the author, John Sinclair, roamed far and wide on his own to photograph the transport scene and this continued during locum work in the Highlands and on holidays. The photographs date from the mid to late 1960s and show the wonderful variety of vehicles operating across the Highlands and Islands at that time. Macbraynes feature at various locations as do smaller operators on Skye, Islay, Mull and the Outer Hebrides and in Inverness-shire, Ross-shire and Sutherland.
