London Bus Routes: One By One 2026 Edition 1 to X140

In the space of only four years since the publication of the five-book London Buses One By One series, every one of London’s 645 daytime bus routes has seen a change. Whether by the entry into service of new electric vehicles in accordance with Transport for London (TfL) contracts, or by the award of routes to different bus-operating companies, London’s bus scene is constantly and rapidly evolving. In this volume for 2026, a description of each route’s operator, garage and contract date is given, and there is a potted background to accompany a high-quality colour photograph exemplifying each route’s scheduled type. Featured are the 1,000-strong fleet of New Routemasters as well as an increasing number of electric buses manufactured by Wrightbus, Volvo, BYD and ADL, which are gradually supplanting long-established diesel and hybrid vehicles.
