  £30.00
This book completes Laurie Akehurst's record of London Transport country buses by taking the story up to the end of London Transport control of the services. The 1960s was a period of decline, as usage of buses continued to be affected by increasing car ownership. In the second half of the decade, a big move towards one-man operation of larger vehicles began and the vehicles used initially were of a design that just accelerated the move away from bus use. The story is well illustrated in photographs and ephemera, bringing to life again a ten-year period of significant change.
