Queens Road Garage is an integral part of our local community, just as it was when it opened 125 years ago!
Opened by Manchester Corporation Tramways in 1901 to operate the city’s first electric tram services, it now provides Bee Network bus services to the people of Greater Manchester.

Standard Museum admission applies for Queens Road Garage Open Day
Admission can be purchased in advance below, or on the day from the Museum.
Wristband(s) will be issued on the day, which will grant access to Queens Road Garage and the Museum of Transport for the day.
Families visiting with Queens Road Garage employees visit free of charge at this event - please bring your staff pass to obtain your wristband(s) on the day from the Museum.
Getting to the Museum:
The Museum will be very busy for the event and we recommend that you use public transport, or our free Heritage Bus service (see below). Don’t forget you can use rail tickets showing Manchester CTLZ as the destination to reach Manchester Victoria via Metrolink. You can use the TfGM Journey Planner to help you get here.
