Details
This illustrated book by John Marsh not only covers the 36 years of Reed Transport's existence but also chronicles the roots of the Company, from Victorian London to rural Berkshire and the Mills of East Lancashire. In 1991 it became SCA Transport. Not only was it the transportation arm of the Reed Paper Group hauling newsprint and paper product throughout the UK but an 'A' Licence operator in its own right and it's large fleet of eightwheelers, artic and rigids reflected the very best in British commercial vehicle manufacturing with the products of Foden, ERF, Atkinson, AEC, Albion, BMC & Leyland to the fore. Latter days seeing many MAN, Scania and Volvo operating in its colours. Included within is also the story of hauliers Cropper & Colthrop and its prenationalisation counterpart T.R.T.S. 216 pages, hardback 350 black & white and colour illustrations.
