This is the latest volume in Noel Coates' LYR Miscellany series. It covers the period from 1921 when the manoeuvring for power within what became the LMS began, through to 1930 and the early effects of the Depression. Using introductory essays to each section and 270 beautifully reproduced photographs with detailed captions, we are taken year by year through this turbulent period in the history of the former LYR lines and beyond into the wider LMS where LYR designed locos were at work.
