London Transport Coach Hires 1947-1949

Between October 1947 and August 1949 London Transport hired, through the agency of the Passenger Vehicle Operator's Association, a large quantity of coaches which they operated as cover for no bus available situations or as peak hour extras to help with the very heavy traffic demands of the time. This book is an attempt to chronicle the companies and vehicles involved together with details of the routes on which the coaches operated.
