London Underground Steam Memories

This book was published in 2013 to coincide with the 150th anniversary of public train services on the Metropolitan Railway from Paddington to Farringdon, now part of the Circle Line. A century and a half later, it is hard for us to imagine the impact the first underground railway in the world had on people. But in this book, author John Scott-Morgan, attempts to bring this history to life. With stunning photographs, mainly in black & white but with some colour images dotted throughout, this book shows the reader a part of London's steaming past.
