Machine Issued Tickets of City of Portsmouth

Portsmouth Corporation or City of Portsmouth Passenger Transport Department had four types of ticket machines. Starting with the TIM short-range working up to the long range and eventually the extended range. Early one-man operation brought the Solomatic machines with a colourful range of pre-printed tickets with some interesting advertisements. Eventually the Solomatics gave way ti TIM and TIM gave way to Almex Magnets. Timtronic on certain services and experimental machines also covered. Disposal of TIM machines detailed including one which ended up on HMS Victory.
