Burwell & District in Cambridgeshire was a stylish-looking outfit which sold out to Eastern Counties in 1979. Vehicles always looked smart in the company's brown and cream livery. Compared to contemporary designs like the BET-style single deckers that were beginning to be seen in ever-increasing numbers at the time and appeared modern and sharp, the Plaxton body on AEC Reliance 932 BCE with a rounded front, slightly arched windscreen and multi-windowed sides probably looked rather old-fashioned at the time. However; age has been kind to its looks and it now has charm and looks rather handsome, actually. Jim Neale fell in love with this bus, although technically it was really a coach. This book is his story of this coach, his time working with Burwell & District and other companies in East Anglia, the formation of Burwell 127 District Bus Preservation Society, and the restoration of 932 BCE.
