New Routemaster: The Outside Story 2011-2017

This is the first of a planned two-part series outlining the work of London’s New Routemaster fleet, the so-called Boris Buses, from the unveiling of LT1 in 2011 to the roll-out of the final batch in 2017. The progress of this controversial project is presented year-by-year, route by route, as each bus enters service, with diversions into the many extraneous events that complete the story, such as the overseas trade missions, the development of the LT fleet as an advertising medium, and some of the appearances by individual vehicles outside of the capital. The widespread use of tables adds to the detail of what happened when.
