Steam Colour Portfolio: On Southern & Western Lines

In his first volume of colour photographs from the 1950s and 60s, Keith Pirt presents shots of over 90 working engines from Southern and Western Lines. In his succinct captions, Pirt identifies the locomotives and gives details of their routes, sheds and often their fates, for many of these photographs were taken in the final months before withdrawal.
