Ayrshire Traction

Colin Howat uses his wonderful collection of photographs to document the last 40 years of diesel and electric traction in Ayrshire, including both passenger and freight trains. A variety of types and classes of locomotives are covered, as well as many different locations along the route, displaying the fascinating history of the area's modern railways. Locations include Kilmarnock, Largs, Greenburn, Longannet, Hunterston and Adrossan Harbour.
