Nottingham's Lost Railways

Much of Nottinghamshire's former railway network is unlikely to see a train again. Although many people mourn the loss of these lines, as the author points out many people deplored their being built in the first place as industry and the faulty system developed through what had been largely a rural county. The rise and fall of the coal industry has much to do with the fate of Nottinghamshire's railways. Twenty closed lines and many more closed stations are included in the book which is profusely illustrated with period photographs.
