Observing the Railways in 2022

For decades, the members of the Railway Correspondence & Travel Society have diligently recorded events on the railway throughout the year and these are the backbone of the monthly magazine, The Railway Observer. Alongside this, many members have regularly photographed the railway and a number submit their pictures to the Society for possible use. The pictures have been chosen to provide a balance of geographical area and subject, whilst keeping to the need to select images which are both relevant and interesting and form an appropriate record of the year. The coverage with a mix of locomotives and multiple units, passenger and freight, extends from north to south and east to west on the national network of mainland UK, but excludes heritage or preserved lines. The book contains 154 pictures in full colour and with very informative captions.
