Details

This book covers the history of Karrier from its formative years in 1907 until its takeover by Rootes Securities Ltd in September 1935 and closure of the factory in Huddersfield in the same year with production transferred to Luton. The comprehensive history is based on many years of extensive research by Geoff Lumb and covers all the different vehicles manufactured by Karrier. Geoff Lumb also restored the Ashton-under-Lyne Corporation Karrier WL6 single-deck bus that is now on display at the Museum of Transport, Manchester.
