Shrewsbury to Newtown

The joyful journey into the centre of Wales on this important, although single line railway, can be enjoyed with photographs from many eras. With only one intermediate station now open, the others can be admired in their rural charm, as can those on the two long-closed branches. The Snailbeach District Railway to various quarries makes a quaint additional excursion.
