The Development of Stevenage New Town Bus Routes- The London

Prior to the birth of Stevenage New Town in 1949, Stevenage was a modest market town served by four through bus routes and one Green Line Coach route, all of which were provided by London Transport. The bus routes were 303, 303A, 384 and 390, the Green Line Coach Route being the 716. As the town grew so did the bus service.
