The London Country Area 2: South East

In his second area survey of London Transport Country Area and London Country operations in the 1960s and 1970s, Jim Blake covers their south-eastern area. Once again, many long-lost routes and vehicles are portrayed, featuring a good variety of previously unpublished photographs from his extensive archives. As well as the buses and coaches themselves, much else is captured on film: other road traffic, long demolished buildings and the people’s fashions of fifty-odd years ago, full of nostalgia.
