Venture's regular team of author John Banks and photographer Geoffrey Atkins complete their survey of the Trent Motor Traction Co. Ltd. Trent's vehicles up to the end of the Second World War were dealt with in Trent 1 from the same team, published by Venture Publications in early 2004. This volume picks the story up in 1945 and brings it up to date with another fine selection of portraits from the lens of Geoffrey Atkins, ably abetted by John Banks's authoritative text and captions. For the first five years, Trent was a solid supporter of AEC for all its new vehicle orders; then in 1950 it turned, equally wholeheartedly to Leyland, and ordered nothing else until 1959. Trent is unusual in being a traditional operator, known and loved by enthusiasts for two or three generations, that still exists and thrives in the 21st century privatised world of public transport. It is all here, in over 100 pictures - a worthy companion to the successful earlier volume.
